Trufflepig

Meet Trufflepig – a spirited approach to travel. We plan custom trips that are thoughtfully crafted and packed with personality. Trufflepig is a trip planning company. Not quite a travel agency nor exactly a tour operator, but very much our own kind of beast. We plan and run customized trips — orchestrating everything from the big picture (hotels, guides, transfers) to the tiny details (restaurant reservations, special activities, you-name-it). We are connector, consultant, editor, and arranger.

Why are we different?
The main thing that differentiates Trufflepig from a classic travel agent/agency is that we create our own trips using ingredients (hotels, guides, experiences) that we’ve unearthed ourselves. We aren’t dishing up travel as an impersonal commodity or selling someone else’s trip, we’re carefully crafting unique itineraries based on first-hand experience. We develop our own supplier relationships, form our own opinions, and work with whomever we think does the best job — be they part of a lauded boutique hotel group, or a 3-bedroom inn that no one’s ever heard of.

The places we take you can be deliciously simple or ruinously expensive. We thrive on variety. An open-cockpit flight over the Okavango Delta, and a bang-on bowl of soupe à l’oignon in the Auvergne. Our trips are deliberate concoctions of varied and spicy ingredients, carefully proportioned, and seasoned to your taste. We look, we find, we craft, and we deliver. A great guide in Paris. A superb hike out of Cape Town. Where to find real flamenco in Seville. When to stay in the expensive safari lodge and when it’s not worth it. This is our vocabulary: the real, the vernacular, the authentic and imaginative, the pungent and confident, the clean and simple. At the end of the day, we believe better travel is a result of digging deeper and connecting the right dots. And that’s what we do.
