As a building material, and for decorative and ornamental elements, limestone and marble are the integral part of architectural past. At the Stonemasonry Company we know stone has a future. Promoting its use from the modest  Bath stone fireplace in the Cotswolds  to sweeping Portland cantilever staircase in London, the Stone Masonry Company is passionate about having at its heart this strong, sustainable natural product; a part of the architectural landscape.

From the deep quarry of Bath or the open air Cava of Italy we are tireless in our search for the most suitable  material for each project. Stone will always be the common denominator to any architectural language. We enjoy helping our clients discover the natural beauty of limestone compared to reconstituted stone or man made stone and even more concrete! We relentlessly work so that stone embellishes our surroundings.

For us a line of Rimbaud poem “ Invitation au Voyage” is the best description of the qualities of stone: “Order and beauty, luxury, peace, and pleasure.”
At the Stonemasonry Company we do not see stone masonry as a trade, a craft but as a culture. The passion, the dynamism is very much part of the glue that binds us all together. All men of the stone, we have developed other specialiiies, Alex oversees workshop management and quality control; Paul controls all financial matters and operation management; with Nico, Alex and Eric at the workshop, with their vast knowledge of the stone craft, and Laurent and Adrian's teams  are always trying to improve the fixing  side of the work.

From the simple stone, we have made great structures and elegant architectural objects.
