The highest levels of bespoke automotive luxury

Since 1919, Bentley’s uncompromising vision has allowed us to achieve the highest levels of bespoke luxury, with a clear, instantly recognisable bloodline running through all our cars. At our state-of-the-art factory in Crewe, England, the precision of the present meets the passion of the past. We balance advanced production technology with the skill of our traditional artisans, whose expertise with leather, metal and wood make each Bentley unique. Every car is created, not merely assembled.

In the world of Mulliner, anything is possible. In our Mulliner workshop – your dreams become reality. Indeed, the only limits are your imagination. What finer endorsement for Mulliner could there be than to receive a personal commission from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II herself? We were determined to provide her with what is perhaps the most famous example of a modern coachbuilt car. The Bentley was commissioned to mark the 50th anniversary of The Queen’s accession to the British throne.

Mulliner worked with great innovation – the rear seat position was determined using a model of the same height as The Queen, while the doors are hinged at the rear and open through 90 degrees, enabling her to practically walk out of the car. The designers, engineers and artisan craftsmen of Mulliner delivered much more than functional modifications. Like any state limousine, the car is used for public occasions. To ensure that as many well-wishers as possible have the opportunity to see The Queen, the team at Mulliner created a ‘panoramic glasshouse’ with greater visibility from the outside than can be found on any other car. The car’s security features must remain secret for obvious reasons. But suffice to say that it safeguards its occupants in a way that no other could. Mulliner provided a coachbuilt car, truly fit for royalty.
