Custom shoes for men

Carréducker create custom shoes for men, traditionally made and designed with a contemporary aesthetic to suit each client's individual style. Theirs is the traditional handsewn construction of London's renowned West End shoemakers, created using only the finest materials.

We are passionate about craftsmanship, design and style. Our men's bespoke shoes are imbued with these qualities; designed and crafted by hand in our small workshops at Gieves & Hawkes, No.1 Savile Row and Cockpit Arts, Bloomsbury, London.

Our bespoke service starts with a conversation with you, the client. We want to know about your personal style and what you like and do not like. After taking your foot measurements and an imprint, we then advise you on the most flattering and comfortable toe shapes your feet. Once the toe shape and heel height are decided, our expert last makers create a pair of lasts tailored to your feet. (These are the wooden block that the shoes are made on).
Meanwhile, the conversation turns to styles of men's bespoke shoes, leathers, linings and details before the design is finalised.

Your chosen design is drawn onto the last to ensure good proportions and balance. A pattern is made and your shoes are then cut out (clicked and sewn together in your chosen leathers. We then pull the shoe uppers over your lasts and stick on a rough sole and heel. This is when you can try them on for the first time and we can see if any adjustments are needed. (At this stage the lasts can be adapted to create more or less room for the feet and further fittings may be needed).

Only once the fit is good, do we make the shoes by hand at our shoemaker's bench – a process that involves over 200 different steps, hand held shoe making tools and only the best quality (durable) English oak bark tanned cow hides.
