Jewellery designer inspired by the Cornish coast
Almost Perfect Jewellery is designed and made in the studio overlooking St Michael’s Mount in Mousehole, Cornwall, every piece connected to its creative source.
For many years Rose worked mainly as a painter and sculptor, travelling to places like the Galapagos Islands or Africa to paint, photograph and draw and then exhibiting the resulting body of work. Her pieces were latterly concerned with the human relationship and the natural world.
Her artwork contrasts the man-made and natural, the discarded and precious. Rose’s jewellery follows these ideas, but working in a different medium. It is an opportunity to be creative with extraordinarily beautiful and interesting materials. Almost Perfect jewellery is inspired by her sculpture subjects and the West Country landscape and beaches. The starting point for a piece may be a found texture or simply the beauty of a string of pearls.
Artist & designer Rose Cecil creates beautiful rings & cuffs in silver, golden brass, bronze & copper. She also has a bespoke range for Almost Perfect; unique and exquisite pieces crafted with pearls and semi precious stones.
Rose sells through craft shops, galleries and craft fairs, both locally and nationally. Appointments can also be made to make a personal visit to the studio in Mousehole, Cornwall. Special commissions or enquiries are welcome. Contact Rose to discuss your requirements and ideas. Jewellery is very personal and needs time for consideration and commitment. At Almost Perfect that is part of the service.
