Rare historical maps and engravings

We are a family business specialising in publishing rare and historical maps, charts, plans, engravings and other interesting things c.1620 - 1900.

Hand-covering the slip cases and individually laying down the maps and engravings on cloth, gives them a very tactile feel. Our stockist's range from small gift & home shops , to the V & A Museum, Liberty, Fortnum and Mason and the British Library. In addition to our own products, we also welcome bespoke work, for example the Rocque map of London 1740, we recently produced for Kew Gardens. We always strive to the highest quality we can, our motto being ‘near enough is not good enough.

Our bespoke wall maps and hangings vary in size from approximately 55 x 55” (Stanford’s Modern London, below) to a maximum size of 55 x 80”.

We have many more original maps and chromolithographs in our collection than we have republished or are available on our website. We are very happy to help tailor a collection of maps or chromolithographs to coincide with exhibitions, for example specific era’s and artworks. We welcome bespoke work and can re-issue, in many formats, any images or maps you may have in your archives.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
