Henry Poole & Co

Bespoke tailoring

For generations clients throughout the world have experienced the truly bespoke experience on which Pooles prides itself. Each client has his own individual patterns and all items are made on the premises at 15 Savile Row.

We have occupied our current premises at 15 Savile Row since 1982. Our showroom and cutting room are situated on the ground floor with our tailoring workshops and Livery Department in the basement.

Our showroom offers an extensive variety of over 6,000 cloth swatches which range from luxury worsted cashmere suitings originating from mills in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, to rich flannels from the West Country and pure cashmere, together with fine tweeds from the Islands and Scottish Borders. To accompany this we have a large selection of accessories, including ties, cufflinks, braces, belts, socks, etc.

Bespoke Tailoring

In tailoring terms, a bespoke garment means one designed from a blank canvas, the client adding his own choices of styling to those of the cutter. The cutter will work with the client’s waistcoat maker, coat maker and trouser maker, adjusting the pattern at the various stages of making thus creating the perfect paper pattern.
