Dunleavy Bespoke

Clef music stand from award winning furniture company

Award winning furniture company, Dunleavy Bespoke, was established by brothers Tim and Sean Dunleavy. After graduating from the renowned Furniture College in Letterfrack, the Dunleavys went on to work with some of the most highly acclaimed furniture makers in Ireland and the UK. Working alongside fellow furniture makers, talented furniture designers and master craftspeople from around the world, they have acquired a variety of skills and an appreciation of true quality, which can be seen in all their creations. Tim and Seán Dunleavy now work together from their workshop and design studio in County Kildare.

Dunleavy Bespoke specialise in the design and manufacture of contemporary handcrafted furniture. The Dunleavy’s create unique pieces harmonising traditional cabinet making techniques with modern processes. They use premium quality native and imported hardwoods along with exotic and decorative wood veneers. A meticulous attention to detail is observed at all times. Their timeless pieces can be enjoyed by both the client and future generations.

During the commissioning process the brothers work with their clients in a close collaboration, ensuring the clients influence is inherent in the finished piece. This results in a highly personalised finished article with added sentimental value.

Dunleavy Bespoke’s clients have included Interior Designers, Architects and many private individuals. Their work can be seen in Churches, schools and reception areas. Recently one of their pieces was acquired by the National Museum of Northern Ireland, Belfast. Dunleavy Bespoke export worldwide. Their work has been exported to places such as San Francisco and London and has featured in a number of books, national newspapers and magazines.

Clef Music Stand (opposite)

Originally commissioned as a retirement gift, this piece is featured in the 2011 edition of the Irish Craft Portfolio hardback publication. Hand sculpted music stand in solid walnut featuring organic, free flowing lines. The piece is constructed using an intricate stack laminating technique which creates a visually striking layered effect when sculpted. The piece is hand finished with natural oil resulting in a sensuous and tactile surface finish.

Please remember that the website gallery represents a selection of work undertaken by Dunleavy Bespoke. It demonstrates the variety of skills and technique involved in our work rather than a catalogue or strict style.
