Lolo Palazzo

Industrial lighting

Laurence van seventer set up Lolo Palazzo end 2011, following a long-standing desire to design and create industrial lighting and objects through welding in combination with recycled steel.

Working in her The Hague-based studio, Laurence crafts 100% handmade chandeliers, lamps and objects from recycled steel, such as bicycle chains, motor bike parts, perforated metal sheet but also other refuse she found trawling through car demolition companies, metal factories, bicycle repair shops and storages throughout the country.

Recently Lolo Palazzo designed a new collection lampshades with Mademoiselle Cecile, called 'Killing me Softly', a combination of recycled steel and recycled leather. For example,  a part of the leather used for this project comes from the chairs of Terminal 3 of Schiphol Airport.
