Becky Bettesworth

Modern seaside poster artwork

Becky's work draws inspiration from the classic railway posters of the 1930s. Her vintage seaside posters are modern and fresh, showing a pace off at its best, without the fuss and rush of the modern world. Becky draws her inspiration from a time before the current obsession with the latest gadgets and gizmos - that idealistic notion of life drifting at an easier slower pace.

Becky began this style of work when she was asked to exhibit in the gallery at Greenway National Trust in 2013. She realised this enchanted look would lend itself perfectly with the nostalgic beauty of Greenway, which proved to be right and the images were an instant hit. The exhibition was a huge success and from there Becky's portfolio and popularity blossomed and her reputation has grown from strength to strength.

Becky sells direct from her online shop and also supplies to the trade to various shops and galleries. Glebe cottage produce and distribute her images as greeting cards worldwide.

Married and with three children and Twiggy their golden retriever dog, Becky feels blessed to be living in South Devon, walking distance from the beach and loving being in such a stunning part of the world, living the dream...

If you are interested in commissioning Becky to do any bespoke artwork, please email or phone.  If you would like to visit Becky at her studio, this can be arranged by appointment only.
