The perfect hat for the perfect occasion

Exceptional personal service, ensuring the perfect hat and the perfect fit - perfect for the occasion! In the privacy of the Edinburgh Hat Studio, you can try on a selection of elegant hats in a relaxed atmosphere, Sally will discuss shape, proportion, colours, design and trim with you to ensure that your hat or headpiece is unique - to suit your personality, outfit, and occasion or function. You can choose from a wide selection of colour, fabric, leather and feather samples. Contact Sally to arrange a consultation.

If you are unable to get to the studio, we can discuss ideas with you by phone, email or skype. We can then send you colour and fabric samples to choose from. As work progresses we can even do a 'virtual hat fitting' for you!

Bridal / Occasion Wear and The Races From vintage inspired elegance, to modern drama and decadence, Sally will create an elegant and flattering headpiece, hat or handbag for your special day to express your personality and individuality. Pieces can be designed to incorporate a treasured piece of jewellery or fabric from an heirloom.

She also creates headwear for opera, ballet, and theatre companies, music artists, television, and film. Each piece is designed and made with great attention to detail and finish, for principals and chorus. Her hats have graced the heads of singer/songwriter Lou Hickey on her new album 'True Love Ways', Kezi Silverstone onstage at London Rocks 2013 and Jennifer Wayne (singer and grand-daughter of film legend John Wayne) at 'Dressed To Kilt' in New York. She is Scottish Opera's milliner and other clients include The BBC, Scottish Ballet, The Royal Lyceum Theatre, and she worked on the Robert de Niro film 'The Good Shepherd' and the stage musical 'The Lion King'.

Her hats are regularly featured in the press and online including 'Brides', 'You and Your Wedding', and 'The Stylist'. Sally also teaches regularly on the Fashion B.A.(Hons) and Performance Costume B.A.(Hons) degree courses at Edinburgh College of Art.
