Michael has design excellence in floral pattern and offers a bespoke service to clients who are looking for something special, particular and unique. Previous bespoke projects have included floral wallpapers and murals, hand painted chinoiserie for walls, gold and platinum gilding for wallpaper, floral designs for fine dining and weddings to include harmonising curtains, tablecloths, napkins and runners.
Clients usually have an idea of the central theme of their project which might be a particular flower or plant from their garden or childhood. Some clients describe atmospheres and moods rather than actual imagery. In all cases, Michael will meet the client to discuss their ideas and agree the brief and the perimeters of the project.
Bespoke by Michael Angove is a premium service where clients expect the best. The bespoke packages include regular debriefings and a schedule for clients so they can feel at ease about how the project is going.
Michael went to work for Jean Paul Gaultier after studying at The Royal College of Art and then Hugo Boss and Antonio Marras. On his return from Italy to Britain, Michael set up as a freelance designer and soon launched his wallpaper range.
Now he works out of his purpose-built and modest garden studio but which is the headquarters of one of the UK’s rising stars in design. Michael likes to be a trade secret and insists on working one-to-one with every design, client or collaboration.
